HOUSE GUIDE CoLiving

WELCOME

to CREON CoSpace!

To help you settle in smoothly and start your stay at CREON CoSpace with ease, we’ve put together this House Guide containing all the key information you’ll need. Think of it as a short manual that shows you what to expect and how to use your room and our shared facilities.

We’re delighted to have you with us and wish you a pleasant and successful stay in Berlin!

Our reception is located in the main area and is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We’re happy to assist you with any questions regarding CREON, your room, or your tenancy. If the reception is temporarily unattended, you can always reach us by email.

In case of serious technical issues (e.g. electricity, water, etc.) outside our service hours, please contact our external technical service provider Gf Wachdienst.

2. Communication

To keep you informed about important updates (maintenance work, community events, etc.), we regularly send out newsletters, post notices, and update the Community Board located in the main area near the reception. Please make sure to check these announcements regularly.

3. Access System

You can access the building and your residential wing using the transponder you received upon check-in. Your room can be opened with one of the three large hard keys.

Please note that we do not have a master key. You are welcome to leave one of your spare keys safely with us at the reception.

For security reasons, the transponder must be updated at least every 7 days at the reader located at the main entrance or garage gate. Otherwise, it will lose its validity and stop working for interior doors. The update occurs automatically when you hold the transponder to one of these readers.

If your transponder stops working, don’t worry — simply hold it again to the reader at the main entrance to reactivate it.

If you need assistance, just reach out to us.

4. Ventilation / Heating

For a pleasant and healthy indoor environment, please air out your room twice daily for about five minutes throughout the year.
During the heating period, we kindly ask you — for energy efficiency reasons — to keep the radiator on level 2, even when leaving the room.

5. Door Communication System (Bell & Intercom)

During your stay, you have the option to use the digital door communication system. When connected to your mobile device via the app, you’ll receive a notification when someone rings your bell. You can view the entrance camera, speak to the visitor, and open the door remotely.

If you’d like to use this system, please contact our service team after check-in. We’ll send you the setup instructions and a unique activation code (valid for 24 hours).

6. WI-FI & Internet

You’ll receive the access data for your personal VLAN in the “CREON CoSpace” network with your handover protocol or from your organization’s contact person.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property without restriction.

7. Security Cameras

For the safety of all residents, guests, and shared facilities such as the CoLounge and garden, all communal areas are equipped with active security cameras. If you notice anything unusual, please feel free to contact us.

8. Cleaning of Common Areas and Waste Disposal

All shared areas (bathrooms, kitchens, and corridors) are cleaned once a week by our cleaning team — this service is free of charge. However, we kindly ask you to keep the rooms tidy and clean, especially after use. Please note that we do not provide cleaning supplies (e.g. dish soap, dishwasher tabs, rinse aid, etc.).

Please also make sure to empty your waste bins regularly — don’t wait until the cleaning team arrives.
All waste containers (for paper, plastic, residual waste, organic waste, and glass) are located in the service yard.
In the communal kitchen, you’ll find an overview explaining proper waste separation.
To reach the service yard, exit the main entrance and turn right.

If anything in your room or the shared areas is damaged or not functioning properly, please inform us immediately — this helps us ensure quick and efficient repairs.

We’re always happy to help with any questions.

9. Access to the Residential Wing

If maintenance work or other activities require access to your residential wing or room, we’ll inform you in advance via email, newsletter, or notices posted in the building.

Please note that in emergency or urgent technical situations, it may exceptionally be necessary for us to enter the area without prior notice.
Apart from such cases, we will of course only enter after prior agreement with you.

10. Vacuum Cleaner Rental

You can borrow a vacuum cleaner free of charge from reception during opening hours. Please return it promptly after use so that other residents can borrow it as well.

11. Mail & Parcel Box

Letters are sorted directly into your mailbox located in the main area on the ground floor. Please make sure that your name, address, and room number appear correctly on all incoming mail.

We’re happy to accept parcels for you during reception hours and store them for pickup. To stay independent of our opening hours, you can also use our free parcel box located next to the mailboxes. To register, please send us an email with your email address and mobile number.

12. Laundry Room

Our in-house laundry room is equipped with professional washing machines and dryers. To use them, download the free “appWash” by Miele app (available for iOS and Android). Within the app, you can see the current usage prices, create an account, and add balance. Any remaining credit will be refunded when your tenancy ends. Drying racks are also available in the laundry room.

13. Communal Areas

The CoLounge is open to all residents Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for studying or relaxing. You can access the garden through the gate located to the right of the main entrance.

14. Smoke Detectors & Fire Safety

All apartments and communal areas are equipped with smoke detectors. Therefore, smoking and open flames (e.g. candles) are strictly prohibited throughout CREON. Please also use the pantry and shared kitchens carefully and attentively when cooking, frying, or baking.

Smoke detectors in residential areas are not connected to the building’s fire alarm system. If a fire or smoke occurs in these areas, please manually activate the house alarm and call the fire department (112).

Make sure to familiarize yourself with the nearest alarm button, emergency exits, and fire extinguishers.

15. Bicycle Parking

Free bicycle parking spaces are available in front of the building and in the underground garage. If you’d like to use one of the locked bicycle rooms in the garage, please send us a photo of your bike and your transponder number so we can program access for you.

Car parking spaces in the underground garage and outdoor area are also available for rent — please contact us if you’re interested!
